REACHING OUT

Unfortunately there's been silence from our end for quite a while. But silence doesn't mean we've been sitting on our asses staring at walls. Quite the contrary actually. The last months we've filled our days working on different projects, and our stomachs by harvesting the fruits of mentioned projects.

GAPS, VOIDS AND VACUUMS

Earlier this year we managed to overlook most competitions, due to examns and our internship in Kitchen. At that point we didn't really have any projects fitting the categories of the big foreign. Now we do. Or, we have some. But we haven't reached our goal yet.

HUNT US PLEASE

Young Guns is due 4th of November after being postponed twice. After a weekend of multi-tasking and stealing clips we'll get sued for on Youtube we have two new case-studies to show the world. Now featuring a professional American voice actor we found cheap on the glorious Internet.

OUR DAYS ONE FRAME AT A TIME

I present to you, a piece of time-traveling. This was written about three weeks ago, but we never got around Weekly'ing it. Now, we have a bit more spare time between shifts* and agency visits.

SOULS FOR SALE

Kitchen invited us back in August to share the startup load and finish some projects we started before the vacation. After tasks were done, we went back to twinning thumbs awaiting a new brief. Instead radio-silence struck and we received news we aren’t needed anymore. Hence the title. The 31th of August is our last day here, and we will be searching desperately for new bait to bite.

OUR INTERNSHIP

Yesterday we recorded a voice-over with a Norwegian A-celebrity. A month ago we had bill-boards and text all over the country. We were responsible for a Facebook-campaign failing miserably. Some projects have withered, died. Others bloomed up from nothing because other creatives saw something we didn’t. We’ve gotten compliments and motivating pats on the back and feedback so harsh we wanted to give up. Luckily we didn’t. This is out six months as interns at the advertising agency Kitchen.

SUIT UP PEOPLE, ITS PARTYTIME

Gullblyanten or directly translated: The Golden Pencil is the yearly creative award-ceremony in the Norwegian advertising business. Last Friday the dinner, the show and the following party went down at Radisson Plaza, Oslo’s not so tall, but still tallest building. We brought our suits, projects in two categories and a neat little Swedish broad. Or Kristian did. I brought business cards.

A REALLY FORCED LUNCH METAPHOR

For a while now, I’ve felt an urge to use Tapas as a metaphor for something. It might be because i ate Tapas for lunch today, or the fact that I’d choose a world without legs over a world without Tapas. Brainstorming and ideawork is a lot like that tasteful Spanish dish of divine tastefully goodness. Why do you ask?

IN CANNES THERE ARE LIONS

They are hiding behind the corners of your mind and sometimes, only sometimes, very rarely they appear for a split second in a rare glimpse of creative insight. We want to roar with them. Drink champagne at the beach with them. And just hang out in Cannes really. In Cannes there are Lions in a strictly metaphorical sense, unless they have a zoo or something.

POST EASTER ENTHUSIASM

That mellow yellow time of year has passed, and we are back to our cupboard and idea-walls. We finished our exam three days before due, and that calls for alcohol, but no, we have things to do and for some odd reason we aren’t really stoked about actually being done with what might be our last exam ever.

50% HAPPY 50% DISAPPOINTED

Objects has repositioned themselves closer to the ground. Things has moved linearly downwards. Stuff has been affected by gravity. In other words, shit has gone down lately. We met David Perez. We didn’t win anything at Gulltaggen. We completed our graduation exam. And I (Ola) have gotten 3 new followers on Twitter.

PREPARE PREPARED PREPARER

Monday the 11th we have a meeting, and we haven’t really decided wether we are really nervous, really scared or just all jittery about it. It can change everything, but probably wont. Regardless we’ve busted our asses the last few days to prepare.

HOW TO AND NOT TO MAKE A FACEBOOK CAMPAIGN

Facebook is huge. If Facebook were an ocean id say fucking vast would be a precise description. Facebook is growing as fast as your aunts kid who you last saw when he was two and now is twelve or something. Facebooks pace makes me think all text on the internet will be blue in a couple of years.

THE WHEREABOUTS OF US

Our newly printed business cards smells of ink. Our fresh website smells like, uhm computer? And I’m guessing we both smell sort of sweaty right now. We are working hard to work hard, and we keep improving on that part.
